CSIRO’S Data61

UX Consultant

The CSIRO is Australia’s national science agency. During my time there, I led design and research for Australia's national open-data framework. I collaborated with Federal Treasury, regulatory bodies, and community groups to transform strict compliance requirements into intuitive, trustworthy consumer experiences and cross-sector policy for banking, energy, and future industries.

Impact

| Built the foundation for the experience design team’s in-house research capability, implementing operational tools and execution frameworks that streamlined recruitment, primary research, and rapid prototyping.

| Redesigned the data consent flow from an information-dense single page into a structured, multi-step experience which significantly reduced cognitive load while increasing user speed, comprehension, and data accuracy.

| Accelerated compliance and design alignment across sectors and third-party services by launching an open-source, consumer-validated Figma design system and repository.

Senior Product Designer

Led product design for Atlassian’s B2B migration tools. This includes services to guide, plan and facilitate the adoption and shift from on-premises server instances to cloud-hosted solutions for products like Confluence and Jira for small, micro businesses through to enterprise level companies.

Commonwealth Bank

UX Designer

Designed the Commonwealth Bank’s first native origination experience - removing the need for users to navigate stitched together web forms and mobile sites - enabling new to bank customers to open a bank account in minutes and start transacting instantly.

As part of this project I also redesigned the CommBank App’s form fields, with this new pattern adopted into the mobile pattern library and reflected in all data entry and conversion flows.
